Guest guest
Since I've been stress-dosing a little to deal with family/traveling, etc. (but not doubling every dose this time), I've been at right around or just over 40mg for the past few days. Do I pull back to 35mg and work my way up to this 40mg dose, or can I just settle there tomorrow now that we're finally going home from this overly long holiday/stress period? It's been stated several times that men typically need more HC than the 20-30mg Jeffries talks about and my doc didn't blink at the 32.5mg that I'm on and was fine with going higher. Is 40mg probably OK for me to be on long term? > > 10- 7.5 - 7.5 - 5 -5 - 5 > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets >
Guest guest
>>Is 40mg probably OK for me to be on long term?<< The only way you will know that is to stay on it. I would not go down then work your way back up, that will onyl confuse the adrenals more. I would hold the dose but watch for BP changes and blood sugar changes that would indicate high cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I am on 35 mg and this is the first dose my temps are looking better at. With you being a man and with digestive issues, I think 40 until you get your issues worked on is fine. Guest guest
I'm going to pick up a BS monitor this week with flex spending money. Any recommendations for what to pick up? Are there instructions in the files for what to look for to know that HC is where it needs to be or too high? > > >>Is 40mg probably OK for me to be on long term?<< > > The only way you will know that is to stay on it. Guest guest
That's what I'm hoping anyway. I've had some uncomfortable times (like last week when my BP skyrocketed and my head felt like it was going to explode) that I now know were thyroid dumps from getting better absorption from the cream (I was stress-dosing that day and doubled my HC cream doses) than the pills. I guess that I'll have to watch closely for high-cortisol symptoms if I get the GI healed up some and start getting better absorption. Hopefully I will have been increasing my Armour in the meantime. My thyroid symptoms have been somewhat better over the past week since increasing A by 1/8 grain, but I need a lot more. > > I am on 35 mg and this is the first dose my temps are looking better at. > With you being a man and with digestive issues, I think 40 until you get > your issues worked on is fine. > > Cheri
Guest guest
Hi val do you mean BP drop upon standing should be checked to find out if we are high in dosage? thanks a lot. I use either an Ascensia Elite which is no longer being made or a Bayer Contour which I really liek as well. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I think it does. My temp raises after i perform coffee enema.I do not take my temperatures on days i do coffee enemas. bw Nil Re: Re: Ramping up to 40mg of HC/ 3 - 3 1/2 hour schedule >>Thanks Val. So I guess when my BP was 170/100 and pulse 100, and severely hypoglycemic because I was severely hypo (only on 1/2 grain), I was running on adrenaline. My temps were never low though; does
Guest guest
That's about what my BP was that night and the headache was incredible. I did end up taking more HC by applying my bed-time dose of cream and the symptoms ultimately resolved I guess b/c I didn't have a stroke and I made it to OH via air. My BP at the doc's office the next day was like 113/72. That is really good to know to eat and take more HC b/c I was freaking out a little that I had taken more HC that night.
