I don't think anyone can state a number as absolute. I've heard as high

as 1,500....still super rare. Even the neurologists don't agree.

PLS.My doctor said it was rare,but I didnt know I didnt know I was

this lucky.Why cant I win the lottery then.LOL

That's about where they put it, but remember a lot of ALS people maybe more

PLS and most doctors have never heard of it...

The 300-500 figure is based on the belief that PLS represents 1% of the ALS

population- so 30,000 ALS patients equals 300 PLS. The higher number is

given to allow for " wiggle room " with the differing survival rates between
