Sabi,

I can see how difficult all of this is for you. You say that you worked with cancer patients....

Just a suggestion, but can you volunteer, when you feel up to it? This way, you will still be making a HUGE contribution to those that you care about. You could decide when you are able to go visit some cancer patients, just to brighten their day a little bit. I know that N. volunteers at a child care facilty, when she is able.

No one on this earth is unimportant. No one. We all have our own special value, and when it changes, we simply have to find our new value. Perhaps you are unable to work, but that does not mean that you cannot make a difference in someone's life simply by being who you are.

Hugs,

Jo

Hi Sabi...have no fear, Teri is here! heheheJust a thought I had about you...hope you don't mind me sharing it.You mentioned before (and see you didn't think that anyone was paying attention..hahaha) that you were a coporate bitch...Keep being a bitch...fight. Don't let the pain win. You are obviously a very strong independent woman (based on the info that you have shared)...show the pain who is really the boss!I know you are thinking easier said than done...but you can do it. First thing you have to do is get your mind in the right place. Once again easier said than done I know, but there are so many of us that have been right where you are right now and by God if we can do it...you can to!I don't take you as someone that just gives up....so don't!Praying for

you!!Teri

Sabi,

Couldn't you still do some of that work from home and only go into the office 2 times a week and do what needs to be done while you are there? Some boss's, if they value their Employee's well enough, they will try and work with them, even if it does mean having to have them work at home.

If your boss can afford it, you could have your computer connected to the one at work, and you'd be able to do quite a bit that way, and whatever you couldn't do at home, you could do during those 2 days that you was at work.

The benefits of working at home though are great.....you can take a break when needed, you can work all night if you can't sleep, have your Lunch Breaks whenever you want.....

I know that it isn't going to help with the interacting with other's much, but, you'd at least be able to "talk" to whomever is running the computer at the office, and your boss.

I can't remember for sure where your RSD is at, but, if your boss would do it, even for just his personal stuff and the Night Club records, all he'd have to do is pay for your internet each month....or even just half of it......plus any software that you would need to download onto your computer like Microsoft Office, or, if its in your hands/arms, he could buy this program that all you have to do is Talk and it types out everything for you. The only downfall to it, is that you have to speak very clearly for it to work.

It's expensive, but, those that I know that has it says that it is well worth it once you get it working. And, if it would be cheaper here in the States than it is in Australia, then maybe someone would be nice enough to buy it here for you, ship it to you with how much it costs, and you could send them the money for it.....and have your boss give you the money back for it.

This is all just an idea, but, when it comes to office work, it's the easiest job to transfer from working at the office to working at home!
