Guest guest
Funny about that " too good looking to be sick " situation. I had a similar experience. I was accused of being lazy a couple of months ago. I was walking from my handicapped spot to the front of a supermarket entrance using my rollator-walker when, in the parking lot, a lady stopped her van and yelled out " my doctor gave me one of those too. " She held up a cane and said " but I use this. I'm not lazy! " I said I needed to use the walker thank you very much and that I was not lazy and started to walk away. She actually followed me a few more steps and yelled out " you have to push yourself or you're never gonna get well. Laziness will get you nowhere " . I didn't answer her because she was just ignorant. But there are neighbors in my building who keep asking me " not better yet? " and when I tell them I have an illness that doesn' t get better, they say " be positive. Don't be so negative " or " pray to God; ask him to make you better. " Duh..wish I had thought of that.. I wish it were that easy.
Guest guest
Praying to get well is OK but I really believe that getting well isn't always just getting well physically but getting the strength to go on another day and to gain acceptance is a form of healing. God's healing is up to him and we can ask but we might not get the answer we think we should JMHO Hugs, Sue Me " pray to God; ask him to make you better. " Duh..wish I had thought of that.. Guest guest
What an ignoramus that lady was!!! I'm afraid my " bird finger " might have taken flight before I could stop it! What are some people thinking? I guess they're not thinking. That's the problem. Take care, Laurel Re: hypochondriac Funny about that " too good looking to be sick " situation.
