I joined the group a couple weeks ago, and just last week I got my surgery date..it is Feb. 17...and I am not sure if I am real excited or real scared! Now it seems more real to me since I do have a date....and so now I say things like..'won't be able to do this after the surgery' or 'can't wait until after the surgery so I can do this!'....Yikes...I just bouce back and forth with so many thoughts.... But I am glad I joined this group..have been reading some files and posts...and am still learning new things! I look forward to seeing more pics...they do inspire me! Good Luck to all members.. I am truely sorry you have this darn disease, but since you do you have found the right place to be. You will find fantastic support with everyone here. I too started with the tripping and falling, then it moved to my right arm and hand. That is great news that you have such a careing and loving family, it surely helps. I have been married to a wonderful man for 23 years, and have to fantastic sons, 23 and 17. Since I've been planning this move to Florida or what's left of it after Charley, I must ask if you noticed any change in your walking or health when you moved. Yep it sure is hard to mentally give up on those physical things we once enjoyed. Hiking for you. Dancing for me. Two years ago I was on the dance floor every Friday and Saturday night.
