Beverly, Fanney, a member of this group had to lose several pounds before

surgery and she is doing GREAT!! She offered her assistance to anyone who

needed help/advice in the weight loss game before surgery. Maybe you can

talk to her on the list and become weight loss partners. :-) I wish you

luck. :-)

It may very well be his diet for life. No one really knows for sure. Some

things may be able to be added back into his diet at a later time,

especially on a rotation diet. Like every 4-7 days. It sounds hard when you

think of it being forever but think of it this way. Being autistic forever

is worse. And your child is young enough that you can hope for recovery.

This is not a guarantee but it has happened to others as young as yours.

Dear friends,

Thanks for all the birthday cards and greetings. Your

thoughtfulness is very much appreciated.

I am doing better although on much more prednisone than I would

like--am weining slowly...but as I do, the pain increases. I sure

hope this upcoming surgery will do the trick, but honest to God, I

wonder if I am doing the right thing;

Sara and I will be going to OKlahoma next week for spring

break. Mark is going to CA with his church youth group. I think he

would get too bored around my family. Bob will enjoy some peace and

quiet for a change.

I will write more later. Everyone take care. Thanks again for

remembering me.

Love,

Melinda
