Guest guest
Had my salivary gland biospy done today--to confirm Sjogren's. I'm a bleeder and with it being the lip, well, you can imagine, LOL. I think I kinda freaked the Doc out because he became EXTREMELY calm. He had to use silver nitrate AND cauterize it. Not to mention I got a bigger than usual incision so he could see well enough around the blood to get what he needed. So I have four stitches that should disolve in three or four days. And the lidocaine wore off so my mouth hurts. And stupid me said I wouldn't need narcotics because I had ultracet (think I'm calling him back). It's not horrible pain or anything but in addition the the "normal" amount of pain, I could use something more. I look like someone socked me. Guest guest
Aw, Geez--I forgot it was 's Birthday--Feb 1, right? I won't get the results of the biopsy for two weeks. The lip feels better, the stitches are dissolved, except for the end of one that is in a scab. The lip is still tender and somewhat swollen, but much better. Tell Happy Birthday!
