I was one of the no votes. Christmas is my favorite time of year and the only

time I ever remember being depressed at that time was the first Christmas my

kids father and I were split up and I had no money and got the flu.

Interesting! Thanks shirls! I didn't vote because I'm confused. LOL I never get depressed at the holidays. I love them! Decorating makes me happy and I thrive on changing out decorations and entertaining friends. BUT for some reason, I'm depressed. Thanksgiving was wonderful, everyone had a great time and usually I start decorating the minute the last guest is gone. I did take down all of my Fall decor but I can't bring myself to get started on the Christmas decorating. Honestly at this point, I don't care if it gets done or not. Ronnie and I fought again (we do it every single year) over a tree. I long to have a real one again (like I did before I got sick) but since I am the ONLY one who does any of the decorating, I have to do things I can do on my own. So 5 years ago I bought a sad little fake tree from the drug store for about $10.00 and now I've used this tree for 5 years and I'm tired of it. I hate to think something this trivial is what has me so down and I really don't think that's it but I just don't want to bother putting everything up, listening to everyone bitch and then taking it back down again. Help!

So, do I get depressed around the holidays? Not usually but yes this time. That wasn't one of the choices LOL

Does Ronnie like doing your landscaping? Maybe you could convince him by getting a live tree that he can plant when Christmas is over? That's what Corin and Jenn do every year, and I think Kayly and Nate are looking to do that this year.

Denny and I cut one, he isn't really into Christmas , but every year after I have the house decorated he always likes how the house looks.

Nope. I pay someone to do it.

Ronnie likes standing around beaming (like he DID something) when guests and even neighbors stop by and comment on how pretty the house is. But he bitches. Too much "crap" everywhere, fire hazard, high electric bills, you name it, he complains.
