Guest guest
Oh listen everybody, my husband wanted to go to Biloxi, Miss. this past Tues. and come back Wed. as my sister in law lives in Mobile, Al not far from Biloxi. So we left with me driving Tues AM around 9:30 Am and I am not a good drive as Charlie has always driven for me but I thought it would make him feel better, but we had to stop and let him stretch his legs and etc in the Family rest rooms thank goodness, but the handcapped room was fine in the bathroom, shower and all, but I could not get him in the bed (king size) as he is used to his superpole to pull up with and I am not strong enough so we or I pushed, shoved - pushed - shoved till I barely got him on the bed 1/2 way and he had to scoot up on pillow with his legs and we did not get to bed till around 5:00 am as his legs were jumping when we got to the room after he had sat and played the slot machines, but the whole time he was plaing his legs did not jump ?????? but anyway I was totally exhausted when we got home Wed. Guest guest
Hey Ms. Sandy, well we left with $500.00 and came back with 500.00 thank goodness with $134.00 extra and we hardly ever go over there - this was our 3rd time going over there and it was soooooooo hard on me to drive, get him out, hurry with him to the casino and stay till wee hours and then not be able to fall in the bed till ? and then drive back home (5 hours) I almost went to sleep at the wheel but I pulled over at rest area 3 times to put my head down on the steering wheel, I drank coke, ate ice cream and stretched out Charlie and I was soooooo thrilled to get home safe and sound - saw so many wrecks on my way home. Love to all of you. and P.S. Sandy I am afraid to sleep in another room as I am afraid he will get strangled or try to get up and fall and I would not know it and I would feel guilty. Guest guest
So did you have any luck at the slot machines? That is one thing I am very poor at? Sounds like you really struggled at getting Charlie to bed. That has to be so hard on you. At home you mention you cant sleep because of Charlies legs, is there a way you could sleep in seperate beds? That might even help him out, knowing that hes not disturbing you. Just a thought. Take care, Sandy Re: handicapped travel Oh listen everybody, my husband wanted to go to Biloxi, Miss. this past Tues. and come back Wed. as my sister in law lives in Mobile, Al not far from Biloxi.
