Guest guest
You can reset your dump-o-meter, to a degree. It takes a bit of will power to do it, but it is SO worth it. That is very frustrating because I feel I am defeating the whole purpose of my daily workouts. I wish I were like Vitalady and dumped at the least bit of sugar intake. :-) > > Deb Brown > Dr. Provost > Lap RNY 5/1/00 > 258.5 / 159 > > > > >

I do not know exactly how or why (cause I am usually not this smart and usually would beat myself up over it), but I just let it run its course. I did not beat myself up or worry about it. Just had the darn MMs one night, then the next, and then the next. Well, you know what? I just got darn sick of MMs -- and it was not like now I started on some other sweet thing. I went back to my normal way of eating -- three meals, no snacks, water, vitamins -- and I kinda even forgot about that MM episode until you mentioned the candybars. I may be wrong here -- but I just have faith in my surgery. I figure if I do slip, I am not absorbing as much of the food anyway, and because I can't eat a huge quantity, it's not like I can do that much harm. I also figure that sooner or later my good habits, built up over these almost two years will resurface, and they seem to. Suddenly I want fruits and vegies and fish and nothing fatty or sugary or loaded with carbs. se Baltimore, MD Open RNY 11/22/99, Dr. Sweet, Reading, PA http:\ //www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=L951569336 11/22/99 324, BMI 51 12/6/99 301, BMI 47 1/27/00 280, BMI 44 2/22/00 270, BMI 42 3/16/00 262, BMI 41 5/31/00 244, BMI 38 (no longer extremely obese... just plain obese) 7/22/00 224, BMI 35 9/23/00 220, BMI 34 (and still obese) 10/16/00 216, BMI 34 11/7/00 210, BMI 33 (65 pounds from goal!!!) 5/8/01 196, BMI 31 (new goal 157; I am 5'7 " that would give me a BMI of 24.6; 39 pounds to go)
Guest guest
I did mother !!!! I stopped dumping between years 3 and 5 because I was grazing on starches and sugars. I went " cold turkey " and got rid of those menacing sugars and " bad " carbs. And guess what, lucky me,,,,,,,I dump big time again. Now, the test is going to the Champlain Valley Fair, fortunately there are quite a few good food places where I can eat or maybe I will carry my water and protein shake and save a ton or money LOL. Guest guest
I didn't know it could be done, til I did it myself. Then I found it happened to others. It's another one of those things that makes no sense, but hey, anything that helps it work.
