I used Denny's rainbath after I used the dog shampoo. It's one of the few scents he can stand right now.

Also, I use at least 7 large thick towels and alot of muscle power, plus her shaking. THEN she lays by the fire until I recover--at least two hours, THEN I use a blow dryer, THEN I brush her again and then in about another hour or so she's dry. She is a large , medium lenth haired dog, but she is white--which probably denotes breeding from the far north of Europe at some point in the breed history (she's a white German Shepherd) and right now, despite the fact that I brushed her so much ( before the bath with a shed comb, then this vaccum brush, then after with the blow dryer thingie and the vaccum brush) that I got about one and a half grocery bags full of hair, her coat is still very thick.

In other words--maybe if I wipe her down with it after she's thoroughly dry that will help, but then I 'd have to listen to Denny asked what the strong smell was from, LOL.

It's a good idea, though, and I'll pass it along to my best friend --she has a llaso apso.

progress

Well, the dog is all clean and smelling good (LOL in other words, she's dry now). And I'm showered and the bathroom is clean.

Now all I have to do is dust, vaccum and finish wrapping.

Tomorrow should be fairly easy--I have to bake a couple of pies, but that's about it, and with the food processer and the stand mixer, that should be no big deal. I guess we're going to church with Denny's parents tomorrow night, but his Mom sounded terrible on the phone last night, I hope she's better for Christmas. She had her flu shot awhile ago, but they just flew back from Reno where my s-i-l lives and you know how that recycled airline air is. Probably just a cold, I hope it doesn't settle in her chest.

How is everyone else doing with preparations? Or, maybe since it's so quiet on here I shouldn't ask, LOL
