Guest guest
So I've now gotten to the point where I'm totally sick of soups! I can sort of manage drinking out of a cup now if I look in the mirror. The two best things I've had so far are chocolate ensure mixed with mint chocolate ice cream, and diluted cream of wheat is pretty good too (the flavored kind). Every once in a while I get the tinglies so I know I'm not as numb as before. The swelling is more apparant on the right side still...I think another week before I'm completely comfortable going out (though I have been taking little walks with my hooded sweatshirt). I have at least one moment a day, usually in the evening, when I break down and cry out of frustration, but it doesn't last too long. Overall I haven't had one moment where I say this isn't worth it. I'm glad I have this behind me now. Can you beleive I was actually glad to turn the clock last night just to see the time pass by quicker? HAHA Each second is a second closer to being done with this. The junk I found coming out of my mouth that I thought were stitches have stopped coming out. Now I just get a yellowish orange type of saliva to rinse out after I sleep. Any clues? Anyone else experience this? Also, I heard people saying that the steroids mess up your skin with breakouts but mine has been superdry and flaky, especially around the T-Zone area. Probably just need to drink more water. OK this is getting long enough now. How are my surgery buddies? Neta-lee
