Add to your list of tests to do: Sleep study. ... oh, great ... I just assumed the docs would know I have sleep apea ... I thought most, if not all, with NS had sleep apea. How does one get tested?...do you have to go sleep somewhere else for a night? ... and yes, I snore, as well. If Joe or my father (or my boss while I was working -- I would nap during lunch, and toward the end of my working days, I often took personal time to sleep -- that is how tired I was -- but that was also after a painful night from either my stomach or my arms or back spasms) tried to wake me, they found it nearly impossible).Hugs,Tracie

I had

sleep apnea bad when I was on steroids, still have it! Sometimes snore louder then other times,

and I never did before this disease!!

I find that when I am really tired I snore more! I took the test at a hospital out

patient place, and they hook you up

to all these monitors and you sleep, then they come in about hour and readjust

your belts as they can’t pick up what they need, what a joke, I was so

tired when I left, I wasn’t sure I was going to make it home without

falling asleep! The doc said I have

sleep apnea, but that the CPAP would probably drive me crazy. The person offered to put it on me

toward the end of the test, but told me I only had an hour left and probably

couldn’t tell in an hour if it worked. I think it was someone who didn’t

want to deal with it, she was stripping the sheets off

the bed almost before I was out of it!!

But it seems to me that a lot of “us” have it.

That’s

my story!
