Guest guest
Hi , Lucy here. I had leg cramps and foot cramps just today. I am taking my last prednisone pill tomorrow unless I start to flare again the day after. I am going to ask my GP to prescribe some quinine (sp?). I used to take it when I took my Lasix on a regular basis. It works better than anything else I have tried. Hope it works for you . Love and Prayers, Lucy in NC T. ( It is a method of desensitizing your body to any allergic reactions in the body, and the doctor believes that it can help autoimmune diseases) I wouldn't go out and try it yet. Also, I have been getting severe cramps in my calf muscles. Anyone else have these? In fact, many of my muscles ache now, but the muscle cramps are intense- waking me up at night. Any ideas?? hi and welcome. maybe we can come up with answers that our doctors can't
Guest guest
, Have your doc run a blood test on your potassium level to see if it's low. I had major cramping that kept me up all night before I went on potassium pills because mine was too low. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Also, I have been getting severe cramps in my calf muscles. Guest guest
, I have leg pain all of the time. A burning pain. I just started getting leg cramps but they don''t wake me at night. I just have trouble getting to sleep (past the pain). Sorry to hear that your treatment didn't go as expected. Hope you are feeling better soon. Guest guest
Lucy, you mentioned rib cramping. What is that? I have terrible rib pain. (front and back) I don't know if it's from the pred ( I also am decreasing), the RP or the fibro or if it's something else. Doctors don't seem to be concerned, but it's driving me nuts. Glad to hear the leg cramps are better. Take care of yourself. Love C
Guest guest
Hi Lucy here, I just had to have my Doctor (GP) prescribe Quninie (sp?) for my leg, foot and rib cramping. I had not had to take it until now, but I have been on Prednisone for the past month. Just took my last 10 mg pill for the coming down off of it. I used to take Lasix on a dailhy basis and took a potassium tablet with the Lasix. My cramping has been getting worse the past few weeks. Guest guest
Hi , I should have said that my muscles in my rib cage were cramping, not really the ribs cramping . I guess all I could think of was how my ribs felt like they were in cramps. The quinine took care of it though. Love and Prayers, Lucy RCColloran@... wrote: > Lucy, you mentioned rib cramping.
