Guest guest
I had awful pain in my shoulders. That is not fun. They heated up some kind of wipes and wrapped them in a towel and put it on my shoulder and I felt better. Pam

Guest guest
Welcome home!!! Do you feel " relieved " that it is over now and you are on your new path to fat freedom??? I am glad you are doing so well and the complications were so well taken care of!! Peace, K Open RNY Surgery date : 12/2/03 5' and 252 lbs Im Home!!!! Hi everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that Im home. I got here about 1:30pm today. Surgery went well..had a few complications it lasted a little longer than intended. First I had a bleeding around my slpeen that Dr Dyas had to find. Then my knew pouch got twisted so he had to go back and fix that. I was up and walking 3 hrs after surgery. Walked every four hrs after that. I dont know if any one else suffered from this but I had a terrible pain in my right shoulder like gas had settled in my joints..its was horrible that was the only reason why I needed pain meds..besides that everything is great. I am on full sugar free liquid diet..I go back to the Dr Tues day where he will check my incisions. But to all my surgery buddies Im glad things went well hope to here from you all soon 220/215/120 3 days post op

Guest guest
That is great You take care of yourself okay, and keep up the good work. You have come a long way. I know your just beginning to lose weight now, but I guess the hardest roadblock was probably getting the surgery done? I think I am not sure. I myself have an appointment to see my doctor but the nearest date will not be till March 9th and that is my first visit to see him. I was wondering if you would not mind if I follow you threw all this. I would like to learn more about this, and I think it is best to get your information from someone who is going threw it themselves. IM pretty nervous about this, but I know I need this surgery to live. I just got out of the hospital, a few days ago, because my blood pressure and diabetes was so high, that I almost died. I also have sleep apnea. Please let me know what you think about this, and if it will be okay if you would write to me, and let me know how everything is going for you. Good or bad I think it will be good for me to go into this with eyes wide open. No matter what I still have to do this surgery because I want to live! Please help me. h email, Rician4u@...
