Guest guest
Last Thursday my husband had an ablation at JFK Hospital in Atlantis Florida with Fishel MD. His esophagus was in the way somewhat on the left side so the doc was careful not to get near it and did not burn all of the places that he would have liked to on the left side as a result. He was pleased with what he was able to do on the right side. During the procedure my husband bled into the pericardial (sp) sac around the heart and the blood had to be drained. That required him to be in the hospital an extra day because the lines in his groin could not be taken out until they were sure he was not going to bleed any more. He is home and no bleeding since. The doc said it happens in a few patients. Has anyone else had that happen? How unusual/dangerous was that? Thanks
