Guest guest
Teri, What a bummer (it's getting very hard to find creative ways to say the "S" word)... What a great Dr. you have, though, letting you keep the trial in until Wed. so you don't have to go through too many days with the SCS. Glad to hear you're feeling good. Me, I am really glad it's Friday. Hugs, Jo
Guest guest
Jo, You hit the nail on the head about both it being a bummer/ " S " word and the fact that I have a wonderful doc. He is the best! I haven't quite decided if I am really glad that it is Friday yet or not....hubby is going to be working late tonight...home in time to eat and go to bed and then up and back out to work by 5:00 am tomorrow. Then after working until 10:00am home to get showered and off to Michigan he goes. I really am elated that he has an opportunity to go up there for the Nascar race on Sunday. This will be his first live experience. The guys had this planned for some time, but hubby backed out cause he thought I was going to have surgery....another guy bought the spare ticket..but lucky for hubby the guy that took the ticket had to back out yesterday (same day that I found out I wasn't going to have surgery) so hubby got to take his ticket back. He was still hesitant to go cause of what I am going through, but I told him to go..I will be a bit lonely (the kids run all weekend long and not around much) but this is probably the best Father's Day gift I could give him. The weather is supposed to be very mild (not scorching hot)here over the weekend, so I think some sun would do me good...plans to lay in my chaise with a good book and tall glass of iced tea. Guest guest
Well unfortunately here it is Friday and I will not be having my implant done today. Plans changed and I got booted out of the surgery spot for this week, I am so sorry for you. Did they tell you why the plans had to be changed? Guest guest
, Yes it sucks, but I will live. The rest of the bad news came from the other doc late Friday afternoon. I have to have the trial removed on Monday. I hate the thought of being in so much pain again, not to mention the thought of having to take pain meds. The doc that did the trial really didn't care about me keeping it in until the day before the implant, but the neurosurgeon doing the implant wants it out now. I guess he wants the site to have a few days to recoup before the implant....blah, blah, blah! I will do as told though! Teri > > > I am so sorry your implant had to be delayed!! Know this must be very frustrating and disappointing for you. I'm glad you can keep it in for a bit longer. > Love, > N.
