Guest guest
Many wonen seem to get worse adrenal sympotoms righ tbefore and at th estart oif their periods. I am not ppsitive o fthe cause but the cahnging hormones thta are low or high at that time I suspect is why. Progesterone may be helpful and some women need ot stress dose a little extra HC at this time if symptoms are bad. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

I have kept charts for twelve years now, and there are certain clear patterns. I should say at the outset that you take your temperature on waking, vaginally not orally, and in celsius. In a nutshell, what happens is this: the first day of bleeding is Day 1 of your new cycle. Between now and ovulation, which is usually but not always around Day 14, your temp will wobble around a baseline. Within a few hours of ovulating, your temp will rise. You carry on taking your basal temp of course. The rule for pinpointing the day of ovulation is that at least one of the three temps is at least 0.2 degree/C higher than all of the preceding six. After ovulation, your temp will wobble around a higher baseline until the corpus luteum fails and menstruation is triggered. This sudden drop in temp can happen either before you start to bleed - in which case, you know you are going to bleed that day (useful to know) - or the day after. If you are pregnant, there will be a second temperature shift as you get even hotter for the duration of the pregnancy. If you keep charts, you'll know you are pg before your period is due. For instance, my pre-ovulation temp varies between 36.0 - 36.4 but could be up to 36.6 if I've had a disturbed night. After ovulation, my temp range is 36.6 - 36.8. If you still have your ovaries you might well still see these patterns. I for one would be very interested in your results :-) Rosie/
