Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've just joined the group. My husband is the one with afib, and is scheduled to undergo an ablation at the Oklahoma City Health Sciences Center later in the summer. We're trying to do as much research as we can before the surgery. The doctors want to enroll him in a clinical trial to test a new type of catheter for the ablation. We were wondering if anyone has any experience with the OKC cardiac surgeons? How about clinical trials? I've read that ablations aren't necessarily as effective for people with persistant afib. I also suspect some of his current meds (neurontin and busparone) might be contributing to the cardiac problem, but my questions keep falling on deaf ears with the doctors. If anyone has any experience or advice about any of these issues, I'd love to hear from you. thanks, tassie Yahoo! Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected.
