Hi Rita,

Glad you danced at the wedding. I know it made your day. Now regarding mom I

will definitely keep her in prayer. My mom had breast cancer in her late 70's.

She had a mastectomy and she was fine afterward for many years after. With much

prayer, the Lord saw her through it. But the Lord can also fix it for your mom

so that it won't be malignant, right? Let's join together in prayer. Keep us

updated. Take care and...

God Bless

Yolanda

Good News/Bad New

Hi All:

Have had a lot going on this past month. Good News first:

This past Saturday a daughter of some very good friends of our got

married. She is 25 and I have known her since she was 2. I always

kidded her and promised her that someday I would dance at her wedding.

Well on Saturday I danced (Glen 's - Moonlight Serenade).

Everybody cleared the dance floor and applauded us ( was my partner

of course), it was quite a moment, especially where I was in my electric

chair all thru the wedding. It really confused people who didn't know

me, to see me walk out and dance.

Now the bad news:

My mother who is 87, just revealed to us she found a large lump on her

right breast. She kept it to herself for 5 weeks, as not to upset us as

we had so much going on this past month. She had a mammogram on Friday,

and goes for a biopsy tomorrow. Her doctor's are 90% sure it malignant

(hate that word). So prayer's are needed. I know I can depend on you

guys, your always there.

Thanks and God Bless!

Rita

Till next time!

Hi Rita,

It's too bad about your Mom. At that age, it's hard to go through anything

and we all get panicky about the " C " word. My prayers will be added to

those who have already responded.

However, her advanced age is in her favor if, indeed, the lesion is

malignant. With reduced levels of hormones, breast cancer is much less

aggressive and not so life threatening as it can be in younger women. The

latest studies are even saying that women over 70 don't even need the follow

up radiation therapy, so that's reassuring to know that it's not considered

so serious a situation in the elderly. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that

anyone refuse radiation if it's advised by their doctor.

Please keep us informed and tell her that she has a big cheering section.

RITA,

I AM SO BEHIND ON MY MAIL. I WILL EXPLAIN TO ALL A LITTLE LATER.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOTHER. I HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR HER AND

YOU. I LOST MY MOTHER 10 YEARS AGO TO CANCER. I STILL MISS HER SO MUCH.

THE TIME WE HAD TOGETHER WAS THE BEST IN OUR WHO LIVES. AND WE WERE ALWAYS

CLOSE. LOVER HER AND WRAP HER IN YOUR ARMS AND LET HER KNOW HOW MUCH SHE

MEANS TO YOU. DON'T FORGET TO MAKE MEMORIES.

LOVE

BONNIE - OH
