Guest guest
Dear , The medicine in the patch is called Fentanyal. It's an opioid analgesic. It comes in patch delivery systems in strengths of 25, 50, 75 and 100. The patch size ( & cost) increases along with the strength. They can be changed anywhere from 48 to 72 hours. As with any other strong med like this they start you off on the smallest dose for the longer change time. Then adjust from there. They also make fentanyal in what they call a lozenge, it's really a lollipop. I use it to supplement my duregesic patch when necessary. It's strengths are different as it is introduced to your system in a different way and has to go through a lot more process to get into your system. I use the 50 strength, changed every 48 hours, with the 400mcg lozenge on day two or when needed. Hugs, B. HEDS, New Jersey, USA
