My name is Deva. Im a mother o2 kids. 1yr old girl, 6yr old boy. Im married to Matt. I live in Missouri. Ive been diagnosed with Fibro since January 2006. I started having the symptoms of Fibro after my daughter was born. I keep blaming the botched spinal epiduaral I had. They the doctors messed it up. It didnt go through they had to gas me I had c-section. 1-2 months after having a I started having pain in my legs, whole body, feeling very crappy some days. My doctor sent me to a Rheumatologist. Ive done plenty of research on it before and after. The pain is now almost an everyday thing. I also have major " brain fog " some days are better then other in that area. Dizziness. Weakness in my legs. Insomnia. I complained constantly to my primary about it all. She went and did a spinal MRI because of the neck pain and back pain and shooting shock pain down a leg. Sure enough I have a hernation. T11-T12. Well I accepted it but I still wasnt happy with the diagnoses. I am realy worried about the weakness in my legs and the constant dizziness and cognitive problems. I was sent to a Neurologist last week. Since my aunt has MS I brought it up to him. The lab work I had done at the primary D came back fine othr then my hematocrite being tiny bit low. So Dr Karim ran some more labs but I havent heard back. I go in for a nerve conduction test and a brain MRI next month. They are somewhat worried about my hyperflexity. Something else to about when he flexes my feet back he said that wasnt right plus I also have twitches in my legs to. He said it still could be Fibro. It could be MS or a neuropathy problem. He said it could also be my herniation but my spinal MRI report said there was no nerve impingment but was touch my thecal sac? Anyway untill the Brain MRI and nerve conduction test are done Im sitting in limbo. Im on paroxetine 50 mg but have been on it for 5 years. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure in October of 06 so Im on 5mg of Lisonophil. My blood pressure has stayed level since Ive been on it. Not high not low, doesnt explain my dizzyness. I also take 2 Darvocets 100/650 in morning and 2 tramodal in the morning then same in the eve. I try to go without my nightime pain meds because usualy Im only in pain in the morning or if Ive had a stressful day I usualy not in much pain in afternoons and evenings unless as Ive said Ive had a stressful day. However I found out that if I dont take my pain meds in the evening before bed I wake up in alot of pain in the morning and feel realy s***ty. Im a stay home mom and love it. I love to hang out with my girl all day. But I also go to school part time Majoring in Child Development. I would love to run a good daycare in the future. My son of course is in Kindergarten so hes gone during the day. Anyway im rambling and probaly off track some. Ill respond to any questions and I would love any insight on my illness. If I didnt have my kids I would not be me:) Deva
Guest guest
Welcome Deva. I hope you find some support here and I think you will. I also hope they figure it all out. It is hard to deal with. I have a 5 and a 10 year old. I know that is a busy job in itself. But at the same time, they are a joy to our lives. Take care Debra V. dj7801 wrote: Hi. My name is Deva. Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Deva. I strongly believe that I have it since I was about 22, so that makes 32 years. It interfered with how much I was able to attend things that my kids (I have 3 and they are now son, 32, son, 30 and daughter, 28 and she has been dx'd with fibro) had going on in school, because I had to use the time that they were in school to get the rest that I needed in order to take care of them when they got home from school. I have a website that I love and have been sharing a lot, that I feel offers a lot of good info on fibro and its overlapping conditions. Here is the link... _Fibromyalgia Symptoms_ (http://www.fmnetnews.com/basics-symptoms.php) _http://www.fmnetnews.com/basics-symptoms.php_ (http://www.fmnetnews.com/basics-symptoms.php) Love and gentle hugs, Debi/So.Cal.-54 In a message dated 11/10/2007 7:14:47 P.M.
