Welcome ,

Kaiser does not do the surg in Sacramento or Roseville. Your Pcp sends a referral for you then if you are approved they have 3 or 4 locations in the bay area that do the surg. I have been approved for the surg. in Fremont. I am in the process of losing the 10% of my body weight that they require you to lose before they will do the surg. It is a very long p'4rocess to go thru but I am sure it will be worth it. I am 5'4" and right now weigh 228. I have to get to 216 before my surg will be done. This group is very informative and supportive I'm sure we will be hearing from you soon. Take care and keep us posted

Rose

I am new here, a kind soul told me about this group. I have Kaiser and I'm thinking about having gastric bypass. I am 5'2" and weigh 225 (and rising).

Is there a great surgeon in the Sac/Roseville area? How do I get started? Sorry to jump in the middle of things here, but I don't know how else to start.

Thanks for any input, good experiences, bad too.

Shell, I aint going anywhere honey. I just needed tobe honest for once, be honest and true and put myselfout there. I don't ever want people on here oranywhere for that matter to think that I am so strongor I don't go through or just because I post and saythat I bounced back that I am ever alright. I maypost and say that I am okay and that I handled asituation a certain way but truth be told that ittakes me about a week to really get

over stuff and getback to where I need. I just feel that there isenough of other people going through on here withoutme adding to things. Just one less person to worryabout. You know what I am trying to say. Not that Iam any less than others, its just if I can be less ofa worry (not that any of you are) then all the better. Now that last sentence just did not come out right soplease forgive me but I think you all know what Imeant. So am I am going anywhere....Hell no (excusemy language), I NEED YOU ALL.

Love you!!!Pam - Feb. 8th--- Shell wrote:> > One more thing! I forgot to say the most important> thing! You have > been a huge help to me with this group and I would> be lost if you > ever left! Wow Rose, someone asked me if I got down too small ifthey will cancel the surgery and I told them no. Mygoal weight was 225 from 249. I am at 22 now (havesome water rention because of my cycle). I am pushingto be down to 219 or so by my surgery but if it doesnot happen, then its okay as I met the 10%requirement. I wish you luck with your 10%. being at216 will just mean you won't have to lose that muchpost surgery.Pam Marsh - 4 days to surgery--- Rose wrote:> Welcome ,> Kaiser does not do the surg in Sacramento or> Roseville.
