Guest guest
The fusion of my wrist which I fell and suffered a closed compound compression fracture on 2/24 went well. My surgery was done in Dallas this Wed 3/5, and lasted 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. I have a plate, screws, and staples in my arm, which is heavily bandaged. My fingers and even my upper arm are still very swollen and discolored. Pain control has been a real problem. I was sent home with Oxycontin + Phenegren pills, however I didn't get to keep them in my stomach long enough to get relief. The dr. phoned in some Talwin NX for me, which I can tolerate better stomach wise and it helps to take the edge off the pain. I can't think of any other way to describe what my wrist feels like except that it's as though someone is holding a branding iron to it. I go back to the dr on 3/11. I appreciate everyone's love and prayers. I'm a tough little soldier, and with God's help, I'll live through this. I'm sure my wrist will heal much faster and better this way than if I hadn't had it fused. I'm just certain there's a horse buried underneath this room full of manure! Guest guest
, Glad it is all over and hopefully by now the pain issue has been resolved for you. Post surgical pain shouldn't have to be endured!! Of course, with their sending everyone home so fast, they don't know if it's under control or not!! Take care and let others take care of you!
