Guest guest
I like that Ginny! Because, I for one, DO NOT want to find that weight once it's gone. I am anxiously awaiting my appt. next week with my doctor. I haven't sent my online form in because I have not yet received my doctor's support. I so want to really get the show going! How are you feeling? What is a typical day for you been like? Eating & health wise? Thanks for sharing so far! Sue (Maine) P.S. Am I the only one from Maine? I used to live in Vermont (Grand Isle/Burlington) and I miss New England even in the wintertime. Most folks don't understand that winter tempers the soul. I am feeling fine. Sometimes I have little nausea, but it passes. Occasionally, I get a sharp pain but that maybe gas trying to get out of my system. I consider myself quite fortunate. My typical day? Well, I take my carafate upon arising. 30 min. later, I take the prilosec. (Actigall and vitamins will be added next week). When I get to work, I start eating a fat-free yogurt and that usually takes me 90 min. or so. More carafate at 11:30. I sip on Gatorade, juice cut with water, and water. Sometimes I have a V8. Lunch is a broth fortified with plain protein powder. More sipping. Carafate at 5:30 and more broth at 6 or later. I keep harping on how vile the carafate is, actually for me it is just very chalky. I have been taking 30-min. walks at night. Right now I am not concentrating on speed or distance for I didn't exercise before the surgery. As soon as I move, I will start nautilus work and water aerobics. I went back to work the Monday after surgery (mine was a Wednesday). I sleep well. I have a lot of gas - I think I swallow too much air when I sip I did tire easily the first 5 days or so and took naps. Sounds exciting, eh? I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and within 2 days of surgery, I started my first natural (not hormonally induced) period in over 3 years. I sleep better at night and therefore not as tired through the day. I have no idea of how much I lost. I will know that tomorrow when I get my staples out (they itch and pull a little). Tomorrow is day 10 and I am craving applesauce so I am s-l-o-w-l-y going to start including soft foods in my eating. That's it… -Ginny
