Guest guest
I tried the chocolate last night with soy milk... umm NO! didn't work for me... I am going to find some chocolate recipies to do. By itself I don't care for not with soy anyways. So.. today i am going to try vanilla and spruce it up with some strawberries... I am going to the store tomorrow and buy some yogurts to add... I LOVE peach with frozen peaches added with some ice and then adding the vanilla powder is going to be awesome... Lets see ... what does this recipie add up to... 1 light thick n creamy Peach yogurt (5g protein) hand full of frozen peaches hand full of ice or so 1 scoop of vanilla protein mix ( min is 20g. Protein) and 1 cup of vanilla soy milk (if you drink soy or any liquid to losen the mix). (5 g. Protein) Total 30 g. protein in one shake WOOHOO! Not bad. I hope you enjoy! Hye wrote: Thanks Shauna. Guest guest
I like the chocolate better than the vanilla from Carb Solutions. I make one of my shakes a day w/ the soy milk. Right now I'm trying to watch carbs so I don't put it in all of them. I want to stay under 30g carbs. So far so good. I had some chicken broth today. UGH! It was so yummy! Something warm for a change! Heehee! I'll be glad to have something solid after the surgery!!! I just keep reminding myself I've already lost 13 lbs!!! :-) I went out today and bought two short term goal outfits. They're size 24. I haven't been that in A LONG TIME! LOL I can't wait to be able to wear them! Shauna Thalman wrote: > I tried the chocolate last night with soy milk... umm NO! didn't work for me... I am going to find some chocolate recipies to do. Guest guest
What kind of soy milk do you use? The kind I got at Kroger only has 5g of carbs & 9g of protein. It's West Soy Organic Unsweetened Soy Milk. I got it in the organic foods section of the store. Shauna Thalman wrote: > Yes 23g... I hadn't realized before... Guest guest
That's what I've been using and I really like it. I started out using the GNC 100% Whey Protein, but it clumps when you mix it and is SO sweet and thick. YUCK. I got an Isopure sample in the mail a while back and really liked it. I've tried the strawberries and cream and the creamy vanilla- both are good. It's pre-digested, mildly sweetened with sucralose, and has zero carbs. The normal price for a 3 lb container is $51.99, but they usually have sales going on. Yesterday I bought a new container and it was 25% off, so I paid $37.49. There are 25g protein per scoop, so a 3 lb container lasts me about 2 weeks (75g/day). Also, they were having a sale on gold cards so I got one for $2.50!! Thought I'd share hehe ) Susie > >>> > >>> > >>> In a message dated 6/21/2006 2:01:35 P.M.
