It is the build up of scar tissue that prevents you from getting any

food or liquid through. They say it usually happens during the

healing process, like 3-6 months after surgery, but 8 years wow.

I thought they have to go in with an endoscope and use a little balloon to

expand the opening when that happens...

I looked it up on the internet, but found very little information on it. But,

from what I did read, it sounds like it is a restriction from a build up of scar

tissue or something to that effect. I would like to know more though.

I had never heard of it either, I thought it sounded

like something to do with a colostomy.....guess I dont

know as much as I think I do.

Karl, where do you live? It might help us be able to give you better help on

finding a surgeon that may be able to help you!

Welcome to the group!! WOW Congratulations on such a success on the weight

loss. What an inspiration!! I have not experienced a stoma stenosis. I hope you
