Guest guest
I've been on the same HC for quite a while now... 10mg 8am 7.5 noon 5 4pm 5 bedtime I've been thinking about this and wondering if it is the Vitamin D or iron? Both of those levels were low and even though I've been on Armour for almost a year now I just now started taking the proper doses of the D and iron. I also thought maybe I was high cortisol...but when I tried to lower my HC I didn't do well at all.. I am stumped! Re: Val, help! This always seems ot catch people unaware. High pulse and ppounding heart are my first signs it is time to reduce HC. I would try lowering the dose by 2.5mg. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
This is so confusing *cry*. I was weaning down, I had gotten down to 25 and then was trying 22.5 but I was having flu like symptoms so you told me to raise again. But now when I did I get a high pulse? I will try to wean down again...I am also stopping the Iron and D for a day or two to see if I feel better without them. I felt like I was doing better adrenal wise for a while...but then had some sort of relapse. Started getting real startled and jumpy again...anxious...feeling like when I first started HC. *sigh* Thanks, Kim Re: Val, help! Guest guest
It is confusing as high and low cortiosl symptoms can be identical. Temos can help sort it out! Are you at a good dose of thyroid? If not then you should not be trying to wean too much off HC. Your AF will come back. Once thyroid is optimal you need ot VERY lsowly lower the HC by amybe 2.5 mg every 2 weeks. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Val, I just upped my Armour to 4.5 grains last week. I had been at 4 grains for a while and my average temps were still only 98.0. When I was cutting back on HC I found I could only reduce it by 2.5mg once a month! Right after my cycle. I thought I read somewhere that some people's temps just never come up to normal, is that true? Kim Re: Val, help! High pulse It is confusing as high and low cortiosl symptoms can be identical. I would not reduce HC before gettign the thyroid RIHGT. Guest guest
My last labs showed a high RT3, but my doc wasn't too concerned. She told me to stay at 4 grains, but like I said 2 months later I was feeling hypo again (or something!) so I am raising again. All I know is I don't want to have my heart rate up all night like that again...exhausting! Kim Re: Val, help! High pulse >>Val, I just upped my Armour to 4.5 grains last week. Guest guest
Kim, A half grain raise is a lot since you are already at 4 grains. Maybe you could back up by 1/4 grain? I'm in s similar situaton with high pulse. Re: Val, help! High pulse My last labs showed a high RT3, but my doc wasn't too concerned. Guest guest
Thanks, ...but my temps are lower now than they were before I did the raise, so it doesn't seem like it would be the Armour! Guest guest
If you have high RT3 ist is most likely you will not be able to optimize on Armour. You need at least 3 months on JUST T3 to clear ou tthe RT3 then you may be able to utilize the htyrodi properly. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
My mind is mush from running a marathon all night last night. I went back and checked and it was the Free T3 that was high, not RT3. Here are the numbers again: > Reverse T3 was 14 (11-32) > Antibodies 36 (range less than 20) > Total T3 186 (60-181) > Free T4 1.4 (0.8-1.8) > TSH .01 (.04-4.5) > Free T3 428 (230-420) > Vitamin D 19 (20-100) Re: Val, help! Guest guest
OK your abs wer near perfect, so I would back down the 1/2 grain increase and go to 1/4 grain more than when these labs were taken. Your T3 is NOT thtahigh as old ranges went to 620! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I sincerely doubt ANY vitamin is capable of doing this. It is usually an imbalance of hormones or caffeine! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Ok, I thought I remembered someone saying that taking the D aggravated their thyroid... I remembered something else! I drank some Pau d Arco tea last night. I just looked it up and it stimulates the immune system, so maybe it brought a Hashi's attack? Grasping here. LOL Re: Val, help! Guest guest
Hi Kim, thanks for your empathy. I have not had aldosterone checked yet. Val thinks I may be low in it too. I see my family doc Friday and I want to also ask for a renin test, coz I'm not sure if insurance will pay a second time. What symptoms told you that you needed Florinef? Thanks again, >>>My pulse did get up to 135 once. I was trying Magnesium, Potassium, anything I could think of! Have you had your aldosterone tested? You might need Florinef...
