Hi Everyone,

First I want to say Hello & a BIG Welcome to all the New Comers. Wow I get

sick and am away a couple of weeks and all Hell breaks loose! So sorry to all

who came in right in the middle of it. I want to say Thank You to Co-Owners and

Mods as well as all the wonderful members here who stood up and took control

good and bad LOL! Sorry I wasn't here to take control myself!

I want to say I can relate to what a Newcomer may feel when they don't get

answered and feel ignored. I am the OWNER and a lot of the time I get no replies

to my posts. I also know about not being able to answer all posts. I can not

handle the mail load on a GOOD day let alone when I am sick. I am on daily

digest myself. I tend to scan the mails when I am up to it and reply where I

can. When I am feeling bad I file them away to respond later which never seems

to come because I have all the new ones. One thing many of the old members do

and I appreciate it and if you will notice I ALWAYS do is to put WHO I am

responding to in the subject line as is the ~ALL~ in this note. That way people

know when someone is replying directly to them. Do please change the subject

line when responding to someone else as well. That way we don't have 20 Posts

that are Re:~Debbie~ or ~Lori~ or whoever and it isn't really to them at all and

no one or whoever it is too probably won't even open it because it is addressed

to someone else. And if the subject of the e-mail is different from the answer

PLEASE change that subject line to reflect the change of text. It only takes a

second and sure cuts down on confusion especially for those of us on Digest!

I am still in AWE & get Misty Eyed when I see posts of how much help this

group is and get personal & on list notes Thanking me for the site. It makes the

few bad times on the site worth it. I can not belive how the group has grown and

blown wide open. Wow almost 1400 members. I don't know if Members can see the

message history of the site at the bottom of the page or not so I want to share

a little here. Even I talk about how busy this site is as far as posts go. Don't

be fooled! Yes so far this month we have had as of the writing of this note 3023

messages. Opposed to last years 480 in Nov., in 2005 Nov. we had 732 posts. BUT

when the group was only a year and a few months old, just a few hundred members,

In 2004 Nov. we had 5,151 messages! THAT WAS BUSY! So just imagine what it could

be like. And in Dec. 2004 our biggest post month in the 5 year history of the

group we had 5,467 posts. I thought then we were massive. We are 3 times as big

now so please all Oldies stop and think what it was like back them LOL! When the

group was only 5 months old in Nov. 2003 we had 1,578 posts LOL! And I was ALONE

to deal with it all back them except for Vicki, one of my beloved Co-Owners and

my SECOND member to this site and the OLDEST member to date with me. She was a

Mod back then because things were to much for me alone.

Ok NOW I am going to step out on a limb and make an example of myself and a

newer member here. PLEASE no one get hurt feeling because I didn't single you

out! And I hope this member doesn't although I don't think I need worry that I

did LOL! I would never if it hadn't been for what I DID and this person's

reaction to me and since on the group! We had a member join not to long ago

right in the middle of another so called FUED over not being recognized on the

group. Something in this persons request to join the group being new to

diagnosis & the group my first thought is this person will never last here. So I

wrote her a long Personal letter actually telling her why I thought she should

RECONSIDER joining this group LOL! I put it out there bluntly what was going on,

the heavy mail load, the negitive posting and more. I thought I would scare her

off. Well she fooled me. She wrote me back and flat told me it would take more

than that to scare her off. So I MYSELF went in and approved her. And man has

she ever proven to be a woman of STEEL! That member is DEBRA B.. I am even the

one that told her since she felt she belonged here she best start off by signing

her letters as Debra B. because we have so many Debra's and Debbie's on the

group LOL. This goes to show you how wrong we can be by first impressions of

people. She is the ONLY member I know of that I MYSELF tried to scare away and I

can be a scary person at times LOL! And she stood up to me right off so I knew

she was FSG material then and she has proven she has what it takes to hang

around us NUTS LOL! High 5 to you Debra B.! I am ussually not one to point

anyone out but I felt this note worthy because of my first letter to her. I

still laugh at myself when I read her posts!

OK I know I don't post often and when I do I am way to long winded. For that

I appologize! I will shut up now. I love all of You more than I can ever

express! Thanks to each and everyone of you!
