Hi Faith,

If you re-read Bee's diet, she says that probiotics are not introduced

until the end of the program. Until you've got the yeast under control

with diet and anti-fungals, the probiotics are not doing you much good.

What I remember reading, was that after you had two good episodes of die-off

from the anti-fungals, then you can start the probiotics. Am I wrong?

I read that from the files. It was called " Die-Off Symptoms by Bee Wilder.

Revised Feb 19,2006. Down near the bottom of page 1.

I am not sure I am having difficulty taking the probiotics. That is the

question I was asking. could the pinchy feelings I was getting in my gut be from

the probiotics. Is it a sign I am not ready for them yet. I had posted a few

weeks ago how much Oil of Oregano I was on, and how many probiotics. You said

to slowly increase that every 5 to 7 days. I am following the diet 100%,

taking all the supplements that I can, and not taking anything that you have

not

recommended. Give me a little encouragement here. I am just trying to do

everything right.

In my experience if a person has difficulties taking probotics when

their 'die-off' symptoms have decreased the problem is usually caused

by:

1) not following the diet strictly

2) by not taking all of the supplements recommended

3) by taking things not recommended.

Here's what my 'Die-Off Symptoms' article states:

" After the worst of the `die-off' symptoms decrease somewhat you can

start on probiotics. "

The timing will vary with every person.

their 'die-off' symptoms have decreased the problem is usually caused

by:

1) not following the diet strictly

2) by not taking all of the supplements recommended

3) by taking things not recommended.

==>Pinchy feelings doesn't sound serious, nor would it be a reason to

not take probiotics.

==>I can't keep track of what members are taking.

I have been using Enzymatic Therapy acidophilus pearls (purchased at

vitcost.com or swansonvitamins.com for about $19.00 for a 90-day supply) for

several years and have not had any yeast issues. I believe others on this

list have used other products that may cost less and are also reported to be

effective but I use the pearls (they do not require refrigeration). El

Has anyone found a good probotic product? Minocin is

causing yeast problems. I have been using Danacitve.

Has anyone found anything better?

Thanks!

Hi,

I use " natural Factors " double strength Acidophilus & Bifidus. It has 10

billion active cells. I get it at my local Co-op. It works very well for me

and it's not too expensive.

Take care,

Ute

I take VSL#3 which is very expensive, but excellent. I take it for my gut

issues. Do an internet search and you can find all the info, order forms

etc.. Otherwise get something over the counter with the most strains of good

bacteria..

I have taken various different products over the last 12 years. I find Natren

Trinity to be the best I have used. It is not inexpensive but it is worth the

money. It is best kept refrigerated. The better Health Food Stores have it in

the refrigerated section and it can be ordered on line at Natren.com.

Good timing on a discussion about probiotics. I was just going to post about it

myself. I took Ethel's advice and switched to Natren Healthy Trinity. The

difference is AMAZING! I've used about every brand including Metagenics and

nothing has helped my gut like Natren. It's expensive ($60 for 30 caps) but you

take only 1 per day. The Metagenics brand was a less money but I was taking 4

caps per day. I use to have lots of lower digestive gas, especially mid

afternoon on into evening but now I have none. I'm sure it's working well for

me.
