Saturday/Sunday

By the time I press send it will be Sunday. Just checking in to say hello. I

was going to make yesterday a day of rest but my brother and his gf and kids all

came over. It was a surprise and a great one. We all went out together today

and mostly entertained the kids; although I did get a couple slots in. My

brother won a $250 jackpot so he gave me $20 to play. It kept me busy for a

couple hours!! LOL...

He has health issues too, and finds out next week if he is going to have

surgery. He had a pancreatitus attack tonight and we thought he was going to

have to go to the hospital. But he was able to get the vomiting to stop long

enough to get the meds to help in him. So he's doing much better now. In a

way, I pray they can do the surgery and fix the problem for him.

I'm tired. I've been going for the last five days; and I've been feeling pretty

good because of the prednisone. I also think its put weight on me, and given me

an insatiable sweet tooth. But I'm off it now so we'll see what happens.

My brother said to watch prednisone if you are borderline diabetic. He says its

what threw him over the top and made him insulin dependent. He has pancreatic

and liver function issues and I guess prednisone is not a good thing for that.

I figured it was worth sharing. I have a glucometer so I can monitor my sugar

levels.

OK I'm headed to bed. Night meds kicking in. Incoherence taking over.
