Guest guest
Hi Deborah, I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your inability to have a bowel movement... My sis has the same problem (non-WLS'er), and I simply do not know what to tell you regarding this. As far as the inability to sleep, my sister has that too, and that is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. She takes meds to go to sleep, and if she doesn't take her meds, she doesn't sleep. Have you thought of consulting a different doctor, or perhaps a psychiatrist? She was first Rx'd her " sleepers " by a psychiatrist... Just make CERTAIN that to whomever you go, they give you lots of tests! I speak from personal experience, when I had my first psych eval with what I call the Psychotic Psychiatrist... I had not filled out any paperwork, he and I talked about my life for 45 minutes, and he told me that I was bipolar (other psychologist, my PCP and PA all say he is wrong), with psychosis, and that I would need treatment for life. Thank God that He put in me to research the bi-polar disorder (I know that I do not suffer from psychosis, as I am well grounded in reality and suffer from no delusions), otherwise, I would have been in the hospital and then in a mental ward for all the cr*p that he had me on! I only took the meds for 6 days (lithium, topemax, phentermine, fish oil caps for Omega-3 Fatty acids), but they were screwing me up so badly that I had to get off them. So, even in the light of my experience with the first psych eval, please do consider seeing a different professional for your inability to sleep. As far as the constipation is concerned, I am sorry, I just don't know what to say.... You'll be in my prayers... Katt Morales 1 1:
