Isn't weird how good you feel after the surgery? I mean I was all set

to be in horrible pain! A friend of mine at work said it too her dad &

sister 6 weeks to recover & feel normal! I'm wondering now if they

didn't have an open RNY tho. I felt great 2 days after surgery!!! My

tummy muscles were a little sore; but that's it!

Yea...there was no laying flat or on my side for a couple of days; but

after that I was fine. Probably for 2 or 3 days after I got out of the

hospital I would put a small pillow under my bell when I laid on my

side. That was more comfortable. But, now...2 weeks out...I'm back to

normal activities. :-)

Well, that's 36 total. 17.5 since surgery & 18.5 was from the pre-op

diet. But in my eyes...every lil pound counts!

Hi guys! I think youre all so lucky who have had the lap surgeries.

My open RNY is just hiddeous Hahaha I have a foot long incision from

my belly button to my sternum with about 30 staples in it. I am just

over a week out from surgery and i still have to lie on my back

propped with pillows. No side sleeping for me for a while! But the

GOOD NEWS is that in this one week im down 10 pounds! YAYYY!!

Good luck to you all, I am on the losing side and immensely thrilled

about it!

Hi a,

I'm sorry you in so much pain but congrats on the 10 pounds. I'm

only pre op but I've decided to tell myself after surgery that it will

be worth it in the end. Maybe once you are up and about with less pain

you could reward yourself with something special to signify getting

over this rough patch.

Just a thought. Good luck and hoepfully the pain will ease

quickly for you.

Laurel
