Guest guest
Hm. I wonder if that is why I reacted so badly to the Progesterone cream I tried? Sorry to but in, but I didn't know that you needed to stabilize cortisol/thyroid before adding sex hormones! Re: Confusing results from Diagnos-Techs >>I'm the " patient " that has been trying to add in estrogen or progesterone and ending up with " racing/revving " with either seems like and also elevated androgens, TSI.<< What androgens are elevated? Estrogen is an androgen. Quite possibly it is too early in treatment to add in ANY sex hormns as the thyroid and adrenal have to be CLOSE befreo the body will utilize them correctly. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Sure: Here they are: Most a.m. serum levels since June have been mid-range; 14.5,8.5(9;30am),13.2, 7.6 (noon), 11.6. I haven't had a recent urinary, but cortisol and metabolites are low/low normal with higher cortisone levels. Serum androgen levels have typically been high/high normal, but DHEAs level finally coming down (144) on last serum. Last ASI from Diagnos-Techs is as below: 7-8A - 3 Depressed (13-24) 11-12 - 4 Depressed (5-10)* 4-5 = 2 Depressed (3-8)* 11-Midnight - 2 (1-4) Cortisol Burden 11 Depressed (23-42) DHEA - 6 (3-10) won't bother you with sex hormone levels; they're low but 17-OHP had dropped from mid-high 20's to non-detectable at <15 (that may actually be a good thing since it may be that I'm converting to androgens, not cortisol as Jefferies discusses). Also, free T was high/high normal. HOWEVER..and here is the inconsistency; here are levels from late September: Free Cortisol Range 8:00A - 34 Elevated 13-24 Noon - <1* depressed 5-10 4:00 - <1* depressed 3-8 Midnight - 10 Elevated 1-4 *further investigation warranted (note: I believe I did these correctly) DHEA - 6 Normal (values have remained consistent on salivary, but DHEAs levels are high to high normal in serum) Insulin values depressed 17-OH progesterone low normal SigA depressed Postive for anti-gliadin Abs So sorry this is so long and complicated. And thanks for your help..Happy New Year! Avi > > Can you post your saliva cortiosl testing? Guest guest
Val: I'm not using anything but sea salt, Vit C, trying to get lots of rest and good nutrition. I've had these issues pretty much for close to 4 years now. I didn't post it, but an early '07 saliva from Diagnos-Techs was everything low/low normal also except DHT which was 4 times the optimal for a woman. I'm trying to figure out what, if anything, I SHOULD use..Almost looks like I go from Cushing's levels back to blown out. Again, I'm sure shrinks would call it bipolar/rapid cycling. I feel more wired [usually] than tired and I sleep okay. I definitely don't want to add in anything that will " wire " me further. Guest guest
Val: I should add that blood sugar (I have a home monitor) is all over the place, with post-meals being as high as 180's; fastings from mid- 8o's to low 100's. Temps generally stay low, but around mid-month and end of month climb back up a little. I take 1 and 1/8 gr of Armour and I can't add anymore in without feeling too wired/hotflashes. Also, I have to take iron intermittently as I seem to sometimes get " hyper " from that. Folic acid..forget it, it works like the estrogen to wire me up. I have both Graves (TSI) as well as Hashi's (TPO) Ab's. Avi > > First were you taking any HC or other adrenal support in the two weeks > prior to testing?
