I made the peanut butter kiss cookies and cut-outs last year with splenda and

i didn't like them! They had the typical sweetener after taste and they

weren't as soft, they almost tasted stale.

I read the label on that Baking Splenda that was sugar in it and it has

rexactly the same amounts of cals and carbs of regular ole sugar! This year i

plan

on just using regular sugar! It's about portion control anyways....just have

one or two cookies instead of ten!

I make and eat cookies with sugar. Real sugar and brown sugar, and all

sorts of things. Mostly for my husband and daughter, but I indulge once in

a while. I don't like the texture of splenda cookies or cakes.

I also like to make brownies, and other sweets. I don't eat the whole pan,

just a small piece, and I am satisfied.

I am very aware that there are those people that cant do that, I am blessed

that I am able to!

We have a toaster over and I sometimes (not very often) buy one of those

tubes of cookie dough and just bake 2 to 4 cookies at a time. That way

we can have a treat but don't get overwhelmed with a whole batch.
