Guest guest
What a lovely story. PLS is not known in Yuma at all. I try, but as your slogan says, I can't do it alone. I hope in time, mine that is, I can start some kind of support locally. A lot of work for one with limits but one never knows what their limits are until they reach them. Forward we go... Guest guest
OK, now it's my turn. My son has his own computer consulting business and he forwarded my Teamwalk letter, along with his own, to friends and colleagues. We got about $350 in donations from them. Pretty good, I think. Guest guest
You have a right to be proud - and you must be a " bonus Mom " for your son to do this for you. Congratulations for doing something right with your children (and/or picking the right husband with great kids). He had approached his boss about the company being a Corporate Sponsor but the boss didn't think they could alone BUT he'd do all he could to help. His boss brought in a lemon pound cake today and sent out a company wide memo that they were selling slices for $2 and also he was selling raffle tickets for this very worthy organization and he went on to say he'd be participating in a Walkathon on October 2nd. We have had tremendous support from the community providing raffle items so he listed those too. His second call was to tell me he needed more raffle tickets! And, they'd do another bake sale next week. He never mentioned it was for his stepmother, he just said the disease was similar to Lou Gehrig's disease. He's pretty sure that now he'll collect enough money to reach the $250 level to be a Corporate Sponsor which, of course, will make him proud to see his company's name on our Corporate Sponsor Board. Had to share...thanks for listening, [i'm crying] (the slogan even extends to our kids) Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.
