Guest guest
Hi everyone - is there a home test kit that monitors insulin levels (not just glucose levels)? This would be most helpful for those with type 2 diabetes to know how much insulin they are actually secreting (as this is not necesarrily how much insulin is ACTUALLY working for them). Thanks! Guest guest
Ethan, The closest thing I know of to what you are asking is a C-Peptide test. Measures another chemical that is secreted in proportion to insulin. It stays in the body longer, making it easier to measure to estimate insulin production. Insulin presence is fleeting, making it harder measure. This isn;t an at-home test that I know of.
