Guest guest
Good Afternoon All, I have a couple of favors to ask of everyone today. As Rhonda mentioned in her posting yesterday, my daughter and grandson went over to Montana because her grandfather had a stroke. My daughter just called to tell me that she was holding her grandfather's hand as he passed away this morning. I know in my heart that he held on until my daughter got over to him because she was always his favorite grandchild. If any of you would offer prayers for my daughter and her mother's side of the family, I would be extremely gratified. I know that it is going to be hard on for quite a while. My second favor relates to a friend of mine in central PA that is trying to find a good doctor that deals with RSD/CRPS. If anyone has any good suggestions I would also be grateful. Every doctor that they have gone to thinks that they are just after the pain medication. I thought for a while that doctors actually cared for their patients again, but I guess I was mistaken. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated, and I think we have a few folks in that area of our little world. I appreciate the support of all of you as I never would have made it this far without you. I haven't been as cheery as normal, but then again, I have never been normal so I will just move on. Thanks.... The Furball Formerly Known as Greybeard
Guest guest
Mark, I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL.....but, at least he's now in a place where there is no pain. It is going to be tough for your Daughter, being that he waited for her to hold his hand to pass away, but tell her that at least he was able to hold on until she got there to see him. My FIL tried to hold on himself......Gene's Birthday is Oct. 27th, and his dad tried his hardest to hold on that whole day......even was actually able to tell Gene happy birthday, after being unable to talk for the past 4 days........and at 3:30am, Oct. 28, he passed away. My MIL had fell asleep beside him, and she woke up and told him that she was going outside for a cigarette......so, both her and my SIL went outside. During that 3 minutes that they had both finally went outside to get some air and he was alone, he died. It was typical of him though to wait until my MIL wasn't beside him to do something so that she wouldn't have to see it happen. Now, at least your FIL is Pain Free, and able to see his own parents, grandparents, siblings and if he had lost a child, he is again with them. Guest guest
Mark, I am so late in writing this, but my deepest sympathies to and the family, I will absolutely keep them in my thoughts and prayers. It is so sad but also special that he waited for her to get there - one of those bittersweet moments. As for your friend in PA, I don't know the area at all but isn't Schwartzmann in PA somewhere? I hope I don't sound stupid...lol..I'm not feeling well and may not be thinking well either. Anyway, I do hope as well that You are feeling better and taking it easy so you heal well. I understand your situation at work...it is unbelievable, but from your side of things I understand needing to go back or fear losing your job. I've been there after knee surgery and had to go back, it's not fun at all. I hope you enjoy the weekend and rest up as much as possible. <hugs> Lori
