Guest guest
I am on Cymbalta myself, only for about 2 weeks but have to get off it. The insomnia is much worse and I have this indigestion that is unbearable. I am going to stop it now. I will not take my dose today. Withdrawal or not, I can't take it anymore. How long have you been taking it for? Good luck quitting it. Jerilyn > > Has anyone quit cymbalta cold turkey? I am on so much stuff and my rx > bill is horrific. Guest guest
Well, today you are probably all out. I would go down to 30 mg. a day, which means getting the lower dose capsules, before going off cold turkey. You need to discuss with your doctor. Guest guest
Maybe you need to take it in the morning rather than the evening? I guess that wouldn't help with the indigestion, though. Feel better. Jeanne in WI Re: Quitting Cymbalta I am on Cymbalta myself, only for about 2 weeks but have to get off it. The insomnia is much worse and I have this indigestion that is unbearable. Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't take my Sunday pill and by Monday noon was feeling just terrible. So dizzy I felt like I was going to pass out. I gave in and took one again. I have a call into my doc to see if I can get a lower dose. I've been on it for about 4 months now (60 mg)and it helped for the first month maybe then I haven't noticed anything until they put my on Lyrica. I keep thinking I just want to feel like me again. Guest guest
I spoke with my doctor yesturday and they said I cannot just go off it, I have to be weened off it. I have been thinking about how the Cymbalta has been working for me, and I am not sure if I have less pain because of it or because I am in a remission period. But the side effects are not good. My doctor suggested I take benadryl to try to sleep which I did last night and I actually slept pretty well for the first time in days. When I go to see him on Friday we will discuss sleep aids. He wants me to take the benadryl until then. Hey, whatever works!! And I am taking pepcid for the indigestion. So now I am thinking twice about whether I should go off the Cymbalta or not. decisions...decisions.. Well, thanx for listening. Jerilyn > > Well, today you are probably all out. Guest guest
I have checked on that site myself, unfortunately if you have any sort of other prescription coverage, even if that coverage will not pay for the drug you need, you are not eligable for help through any of their programmes. Apparently they are only for people who have no prescription coverage at all. That means anyone on Medicare, Medicaid or state insurance programmes aren't elegible for anything else. It really sucks, as my insurance will not pay for me to even try things like Lyrica if another, cheaper drug is available. Since they pay for Lamictal, which is not available in generic, they consider that to be the 'same' as Lyrica as it is in the same family according to them. They will not allow me to 'switch'. Peace and Love Caroline Have you tried checking out _www.pparx.org_ (http://www.pparx.org) ? They are a really great help on meds that are too pricey. Guest guest
The only time I remember having any horrible withdrawal symptoms was when I came off the Effexor. Although we went down gradually on it, it was still a killer. The big thing is I remember sleeping about 18 hours straight. The poor dogs. Part of the reason I don't have the dogs any more is because I'm not well enough to take care of them, but I'm going to visit them on Saturday and I'm very excited about it.
