Thanks, . I know that self-esteem is an issue for many of us in this

group. I like the idea of a " Victory Log " . I'm going to add that to my daily

journal page!

I went to a WW meeting tonight with my dh & I thought I'd pass on some

words from wisdom " from our WW leader on this week's topic of self-esteem.

" Self-esteem creates natural highs. Knowing that you are lovable helps you

to move more. Knowing that you are important helps you to make a difference

to others. Knowing that you are capable empowers you to create more.

Knowing that you are valuable and that you have a special place in the

universe is a serene spiritual joy in itself. " --Louise Hart

Our WW leader said we should keep a daily VICTORY LOG and write in it

anything that makes you feel good about yourself. For example: you stayed

within your points range today; you denied yourself a cookie; you are a good

problem solver; etc. She said when you have high self-esteem your winning

outcome (losing weight)will be greater. We need to see ourselves through

the eyes of others, such as a trusted loved one. Practice being assertive -

asking for what you need politely. Silence your inner critic and keep your

thoughts positive, especially about yourself. Surround yourself with

positive people. LISTEN to what you say to yourself--state it in the

positive. Get a mirror and make a statement to yourself of self

appreciation. Look at your victory log daily and give yourself a pat on the

back for everything listed there. Remember, self-esteem is as important to

us as legs are to a table!

hi girls, after my weigh in on mondya night i went up in points. 22-27, there is

no way i can eat that many points . ifeel used to my 20-25 point range and was

wondering if i could get away witth doing that.

any advice

I would not suggest it I find that if I eat at the high end of my points I

lose more. My body goes into starvation mode if I do not eat enough for me

this is because I havee dieted for so long. Each body is different. See

what your own body does.

Hi ,

When you really look at the numbers, there is only a 2 point difference in the

ranges. My recommendation is to go with the point range suggested for your

current weight. If you have trouble making the bottom end of your new point

range, eat a slice of cheese and it will put you where you need to be!
