hi tonia, i have the same problem. thats wen i knew sumtin was wrong b4 i knew i had RSD in my rite hand and elbow and arm and shoulder. I just kept dropping everything like i couldnt even feel it there. i have dat cigerette problem too only thing is i was leaning my ciggerette on my arm da one day and didnt even know it was burning couldnt feel it! UHG! i did dat wit a heating pad on my leg too. had a 2nd degree burn bubble on my leg beggining of Dec 2003 and still ahve a scar from it! I cant beleive i burned a hole through my shirt b4 i knew i was on fire! My god!!! Oh and i got a letter from SSI that said the adjuticator was proccessing it! Thats good rite??? I've even fell asleep with a lit cigarette in bed one time.....once it started to burn me, I woke up real fast and got out of bed to grab it!

If it had started to burn the bed, it wouldn't have done much, cause it would of melted the rubber and then the water would of started going all over and put it out.....I would of just had one hell of a mess to clean up!

Today I went to grab a pop out of the fridge, while carrying Petey.....so, that meant I had the pop in my right hand. I almost made it here to my computer desk, and dropped the can of pop. Luckily it wasn't open....this time.

I didn't go to sleep until 4:30am this morning, so I slept on the couch. When Sami woke me up at 9, my face was totally drenched in sweat and my neck is still killing me! So, at least I know that its not just the water bed making me sweat so bad.....

I can't do that with right hand, I have little control over my right hand I still push daily with home pt program. My left hand (still has severe carpal tunnel as I refused surgery after the right hand got messed up) has gotten worse (RSD set in also, I can barely hold a paper cup with it. I can't tell you how many cigarettes I have dropped, so if I have one I do go outside.
