Guest guest
--- I've tried a few whole grain's, but promptly stopped, Tried a Generic (Store Brand) Brand of Organic Whole Wheat (7 or more Grains?) it was the worst tasting stuff I have ever! and I mean Ever!, come across. I have even possibly given up on Shredded Wheat!.. can you believe it, I started to get a funny taste in my mouth the last time I had it, and figured it may be my medication, so I'll start trying it again sometime after the new year, and see what happens, I've gotten to mixing the Sugar coated Puffed Wheat and the Plain Puffed Wheat, so that I'm not eating to much of the sugar, So far it has worked out for me, I've also tried looking for All Bran and I can't (or could not, maybe that particular day) find it in my store) so I'll stick to the puffed wheat until it's gone and switch to another for the sake of not getting bored.. lol... ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In diabetes , Maureen Chesley <nitefawn@y...> wrote: > I eat cereal, but not like I used to. I eat mainly whole 7 grain cooked cereal now. You need to read the labels and see how many carbs there are--some just are not worth it for the small amount they consider a serving. Raisin bran is a good example. 50 plus carbs BEFORE milk! I don't have a problem with my cooked cereal, but remember everyone is different and I tested ALOT of cereals before this one. > > Fawnee > > CLD <cld60@e...> wrote: > > Do any of you eat cereal? Guest guest
I alternate between all bran squares, oatmeal and Cream of Wheat. So far none of those jump up my BG so long as they are flavored/sweetened without the sugar. I had to look over several " all grain " cereals to find one that didn't have extra carbs from too much sugar. Aazari The Art of Jolie E.
