Guest guest
They actually gave my baby food in the hospital. Chicken with chicken gravy. I thought I could be brave and try it... as soon as it was opened, the smell of DOG FOOD permeated the room! I had them heat it up becuase I wanted to make an honest effort to try it and it was SO nasty! That was my one and only attempt at baby food. We did look at some other " flavors " at the store and they actually do have a pretty high sugar content, so be careful! Good luck! ~Jenni > > I was just wondering if anyone has tried doing baby food when they > start eating after surgery. Guest guest
Actually my doctor told me to stay away from it because while it may give babies what they need, for us it does not. He told me that I can have broths, sf pudding, yogurt, sf popsicles, cream of anything soup. As long as it was in a liquid or semi liquid form it was alright for me to eat it. I lived on the cream of chicken, I would put some of my unflavored protein mix in and as long as the cream of chicken wasn't boiling hot it never curdled. Hope this helps. I was just wondering if anyone has tried doing baby food when they start eating after surgery. I was thinking that the jars the food comes in is about the right size and I think most of it is sugar free. May look funny going around eating baby food, and people may think you're weird, but hey, if it works ???? If you have tried it, hows the taste? I don't remember eating baby food, it's been awhile.......LOL.

Guest guest
Don't make the mistake of doing what I did...I bought a truck load of baby food so that I could be ready...well after the first dose of turkey with gravey, I knew that I was not going to be able to do this. I did like the fruit...but that didn't last to long either. So I gave the truck load of baby food to a couple in my church who had a baby prior to my surgery...lol. Come to find out...the baby wasn't to crazy about Turkey and gravey either...lol. > > I was just wondering if anyone has tried doing baby food when they > start eating after surgery.
