Guest guest
-------Original Message------- Has anyone ever had someone poke their entire arm or leg with a safety pin because the doctor that did examine me did that. Towards the end of this poking I wanted to poke at him where it would hurt the most. It felt like someone was poking me with a hot poker. Lin ============================================== Lin, When a doctor pokes you with a safety pin, it means that he has no idea about RSD at all. He's one of those who THINKS he does, but really, he doesn't know jack. Every single doctor that W/C sent me to, and every doctor my GP sent me to....all specialists......did that to me. After the 3rd dr to do that, I finally started telling them that if they touched me with another one, THEY would be the ones needing to see a doctor! I didn't care if they did put in my report that I wasn't cooperating......it was my damn body, not theirs! Last week, when I had my Yearly Doctor appt, my GP had that triangle hammer thing to test my reflexes in my knee.......I let him do the left leg, but when he went for the right leg, I grabbed and covered my knee and told him no way! I had to listen to him the whole time I was there, complain about me being on the Methadone, Lorcet and Skelaxin. If it was up to him, and many times it was.......I wouldn't be on anything except for Anti-depressants and something for my migraines. He has told me straight out that he absolutely refuses to give ANYONE, no matter what their ages are.....any kind of Pain meds, Narcotic or Non-narcotic, unless that person was dying and had less than 6 months to live. Geesh. Tonia ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
Before you send that letter to that Doctor.....go and get 2 copies of it first. Keep the Original somewhere safe, and keep a copy in a different place where you can get to it without any problems. That way, if the doctor tries to say that you slandered him in any way, or tries to change anything on it and then put it in your records.......you'll have evidence showing what you really wrote. Send it to him where he has to sign for it.....and you get a reciept for it. Tonia -------Original Message------- write this Dr. a letter, telling him exactly why you will not be seeing him again. I think that most Drs. just assume patients went somewhere else for the heck of it, don't ever really hear WHY they've gone to other Drs.Time to start telling these people, in writing, what THEIR problem is.Wish it had gone better for you.Hugs, ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here
Guest guest
Oh Tonia you must be kidding, please be kidding me, that this doctor will not give anyone a narcotic? What about broken bones, surgeries, herniated disks, RSD? Truly won't give anyone anything for pain? Why, did you ask him why Tonia? And if you did was it before or after you smacked him? Just kidding know you would never do that. I am hoping this doctor you have now is at least reasonable most of the time. Take care and thanks for helping me out s Momma JoAnn Re: pain doctor -------Original Message------- Has anyone ever had someone poke their entire arm or leg with a safety pin because the doctor that did examine me did that.
