I didn't say all fat Bruce--I said " excess " fat. You know as well as I that if

you cut down the processed carbs you also cut alot of EXCESSIVE fat.

using fat-free salad dressings because doing so would mean that one

wouldn't be getting the proper nutritional value out of the salad);

also, the brain is made of fat.

And also, when you cut the processed CARB foods, you are also cutting

alot of excess FAT out of your diet. Switching to whole grains and real

food automaticly does this.

They have it at Kroger's here, but I've never tried it, not since I saw 42 g.

carbs on the nutrition label. This is low carb on what planet? (That being

said, I know some diabetics who swear by it.) As I said, I mostly make my own.

Ron Popiel is a genius.

Bruce

Speaking of packaged " low carb " foods, has anyone discovered Dream

Fields pasta and spaghetti. It's delicious and says something

like " 5 carbs " on the front of the package. Works great for a few

hours, but on the actual nutrition label it says 42 carbs.

The same with 'low fat' or 'lite' versions of things, which generally have more

sugar than the full fat version.

Re: Re: new here:) and have a couple questions

Otherwise, the low carb options are pretty much ways to make " normal "

dieters feel okay with scarfing half the bag of chips in a sitting. Afterall

it's low carb, so it can't possibly be contributing to their weight gain,

right??
