Guest guest
hello all, I'm relatively new to the group and want to know if any of you suffer from adhesive capsulitis. I have had bilateral ad cap for almost 4 years now! In the excellent information Alan gave me yesterday by referring me to a couple of sites giving general overviews for newcomers, i came across " adhesive capsulitis " However, the entry on it seeemed to have some right and some wrong info. Every doctor I've seen or spoken with, including a world renown shoulder surgeon, and no I'm not going to have surgery told me the condition usually persists on average 2 years, EXCEPT in patients with diabetes in which case it can go on for several years and occasionally never resolves completely. The entry however stated not to worry that ad cap though more common amoung women and diabetics would self resolve. So far this has unfoetunately not been my experience . Anyone else have this horrid condition, particularly bilateral that hangs on and on? Any feedback would be much appreciated, although i realize it's an uncommon condition and so you may have no feedback to give.
