Guest guest
Hi everyone, just had my results of my 2nd MRI and shows no change in last 6 months but pressure in my head seems to be getting worse and worse. Nsg. said that there is hardly any room at all and that my CSF is very limited. Suggests decompression surgery with removal of C1 and C2 I think. Would put a patch in also. What I didn't like was that she said she would have to cut through the muscle in my neck to get to the area. I thought I read on this site that they can work around or move your neck muscles without cutting through them. Does anyone know about this. My tonsils are about 1 3/4 mm with she said is about 2 inches. I went bowling today with my daughter and the pressure in my head started to hurt. Another thing I can't enjoy any longer. This Chiari thing is really starting to bug me. Is there such a thing as just decompression surgery, and that everything should be fine after that? Could you guys please give me some input. I'm really scared of getting this surgery but seems to be the only reasonable option I have. Should I get it done before things progress? Thanks Jackie
