Guest guest
Sounds like you had a great day! (well, except for the car not starting, LOL) We have the dryer and pedestal from the duet series and just love it. Our old washer is still currently working and I'm hoping it keeps working until April when our dishwasher is paid off. LOL. About the Zithromax--that's made so that even though you only take it for 5 days ( or 3 or 7? can't remember that detail) it works for 14 so I'd say if it is NO better call the Doc, but if it has improved somewhat, give it a couple of days. What do you need to know about the timed release Morphine? The one I'm most familiar with is Roxanol SR, but the only difference between them should be brand names. The only one I know with an A is Astramorph PF, but that's an injection. We used the Roxanol alot with ourcancer and other chronic pain patients. Kathy Yesterday I promised more about my day yesterday. It was 's birthday, so I gave his train engine first thing - & he was really surprised! When I started to work, the car wouldn't start; I'd left the light on inside all night & the battery was dead; got out the booster cables & I was only a little late. Our new washer/dryer & freezer were delivered yesterday. We still have to read the book or watch the video so we can figure out how to turn on the washer & dryer. We got the Whirlpool duet, pedestal & all; so now we're broke, but we'll have clean clothes. I got a box from my SS (told you about that earlier). I found out I CAN make butter cream frosting with fat-free margarine, so had a rich-tasting birthday cake. We went to 's for dinner. It was so busy, but everyone was having a good time, so we had fun, too. Then home for cake & ice cream! Talked to . She got her scanner (I ordered it for her a few days ago), but hasn't installed it yet. They found someone local to do Mother's balance therapy; hope he knows what he's doing - she goes Tues. I'm fighting a nasty URI, took my last Zithromax last night, but I'm still coughing & my ears are stopped up. If it's not better Mon, should I call my doc? We're off to the produce market, grocery, wal-mart later; then home to bake stack cakes for Thanksgiving (I think I decided we'll be be making 4). is feeling better. He says he can tell a difference in the way he feels when he takes his nitro patch off at night. Good that it's helping; bad that he needs it. Talked with Esther last night. She's miserable. Gets the result of her liver biopsy Mon. Her hives are terrible. Does anyone have info about timed-release morphine (can't remember the name, but starts with an A) Have a good weekend! Guest guest
BTW--for those of you on morphine there is a liquid Roxanol which is time released morphine that you just put a few drops under your tongue if you have any swallowing problems. because it is taken sublingually it is absorbed faster and thus kicks in quicker. Can't vouch for the taste, but it does avoid the vomiting problem pretty well. Kathy Yesterday I promised more about my day yesterday. Guest guest
Yeah--I can't wait to get the washer! The pedestal makes it so nice because I can store all my supplies in there and don't have to bend down at all to put the clothes in and out. But it better wait until the dishwasher is paid for. All these darn appliances are the same age--never a good thing, LOL. So far we have a new stove, dishwasher, and dryer. Kathy Yesterday I promised more about my day yesterday. Guest guest
Our dryer was taking 2-3 HOURS to dry clothes; the washer still ran, but had been fixed so it didn't stop when the lid was raised (because that button got stuck several yrs ago), & was rusting. We decided that we might as well replace both while we were doing it; & there was no question about the pedestal - both of us are happier not bending over. Now, I still have to wash something in it. Guest guest
LOL--you'll be VERY pleased with it. Our old dryer was taking 2-3 hours, too and no longer shut itself off so I had to check it all the time. Then it smoked the last time I used it, so there was no choice. I'm telling you, your first electric bill after you've used just the new dryer will be much lower. Both because the new one is more energy efficient and because it doesn't need to run so long. In the winter when we have the woodstove on I do hang some stuff on a rack in front of it, but not everything. Between the new dishwasher, stove and dryer , our electric bill has gone down about $5 a month. It's hard to say exactly how much because our electricity price went up. Guest guest
That's funny because I was lying down when she called and she had to wait for me to put my glasses on so I could hear her LOLOL I do that too. lol As we all say in our bunch, we can't hear, see, smell, or sh*t well without our glasses. rotflmao
Guest guest
--Did I miss something, or how did your Doc appt go? The dryer I didn't even have to read the manual first (although, not being a guy, I DID read it, LOL) It's really easy. Kathy RE: Yesterday - Sounds like a lovely day to be remembered for a long time. I've been eyeing those washers & dryers, very nice! Let us know how long it takes to get them figured out. lol I bet they'll be wonderful. I'm very interested in how the balance therapy goes for your Mom, I'd love to know how it goes. Hope your sniffles get better soon, and sounds like you've been really busy. Don't overdo. Guest guest
It sure does! My old dryer always managed to stop in such a position that a sock or other small item could be laying on top of one of the little ledges, I'd practically have to hang upside down to see it. I'm so glad I can just reach in without bending now. Kathy Re: Yesterday> > Yeah--I can't wait to get the washer! Guest guest
I also like the fact that there is a drying rack that fastens into the dryer that you can lay a sweater on and set it at a low setting and not have to wait forever for those "air dry and lay flat to dry" items to dry! Guest guest
But we have big loads - dog beds & slip covers. Guest guest
I do at least a load a day, then on the weekends a couple because of changing the sheets, etc. But our dog's bed and the sheet we put in the car when she rides with us, and the towels I use when I bath her all have to be done separately from the other wash because of the hair. So, although I'm sure that with four kids alot more laundry gets done, I was surprised that after my two kids were out I did almost as much laundry as before, LOL Kathy Re: Yesterday My DIL has the Duet system and swears that she would never go back toanything else.
