likes PA, and we have extra room here for visits and of course the hunting camp in Elk Co. We're also near HersheyPark and beautiful scenery, and not far from the Poconos, Gettysburg and alot of other stuff.

Talking about PA, I was browsing around online the other night and came across Frazetta's website. They have a musuem in PA and I told my son tonight that one of these days the whole family is just gonna have to take a trip up there. I know me, & a would just love it, but I don't know if would so much. lol I've always loved Frazetta's work, and has the big Death Dealer statue and both of us have some of the smaller statues of his works. has alot of his artwork also. I don't know if anyone else if familar with him or his work, but I find it just awesome. It all started when I was working at the comic shop. lol If anyone wants to check it out here's his website http://www.frazettaartgallery.com/ff/index.html here's a pic of the statue http://www.bowendesigns.com/Images/Death_Dealer.jpg it doesn't show it but its on a big walnut plaque and man its heavy, I think its about a foot or more high.

He a quadriplegic and my other relatives refuse to install rails on their steps and "ruin the aesthetics of their home"

Ah jeez! You can't pick your relatives that's what you have friends for!! Back before my Dad's Mom died she was in a nursing home and we'd bring her for our "get togethers" and it was always me or Mom who would take care of her, or at times even talk to her, just treated her like she was invisible! Man that used to piss me off and still does when I see someone like that. Every time I go in a nursing home I just wanta go hug all those sweet golden oldies, it just breaks my heart. I feel that turn about's fair play, they raised you and wiped your dirty butt now its your turn to take care of them. Respect, right??? Okay I was always the "weird" little kid who always sat and talked to the oldest relatives where they all seemed to gather together while all the other kids ran outside and played. I found them more interesting and had better stories and knew more neat stuff than the ones my age did. lol Yeah, they all remembered me - "lil red". lol

Man, I sure am in a funk tonight aren't I, whew.

Yeah, I was that kid, too. Probably how I got into genealogy, LOL. Also was "little red", LOL. Or sometimes carrot top.

We do have to remember (and I haven't read Christy's post yet, so this is just in reference to nursing homes, etc) is that while some of the patient's children and family just need smacked upside their heads for ignoring the people who cared for them, some of the patients ALREADY smacked the children upside the head, or were drunks or whatever, and are paying for their past misdeeds. However, since it wasn't ME that was mistreated, and I have no way of knowing what kind of person the patient is, I always treated everyone well.

You know its just getting creepy and creepier how much alike most of us are. Are we sure we aren't all kin to each other. lol Probally are if we dig back long enough. I'm into genealogy also, not as much as I used to do though. It got to time consuming and expensive at the rate I was going and it got to be a job not a hobby and I sorta put it away for a few years, working on it here and there, and finally have gotten back into it. That hard drive crash I had a year ago or so that wiped out all my massive info, and No this idiot didn't have it backed up, about got me down. I cried for weeks, all those years of typing gone...............ah. I still have the hard drive and my b-i-l said to send it to him and he'll see if he can get anything off of it, since that's what he does of a living - computer geek for a pilot training company with the big flight simulators. So cool if anyones ever been in one, exact replica of the newest planes and jets with full motion and screen. Of course it got my claustrophobic going sky high and I chunked my cookies on them and almost passed out. They had to give me oxogyen and all, I was so embarassed. lol They just laughed about it and said most of the first timers do that, some that are already pilots.

Talk about getting off the subject! I think its time for to try to get some sleep again, yep still up at 7am. Cold front came thru last night, we came home from Walmart had the AC on in the truck and house, it was in the 70's near 80's, front came thru and now its in the 30's. It dropped within and hour. I was awake. brrrrrrrr Talk about weird OK weather. lol Hard freeze and maybe snow tomorrow. Maybe that's why I feel like I do right now.

OK , that statue looks kinda morbid. Sorry, just my opinion. I prefer to see the "Death Dealer" as angels with fluffy wings and soft clouds and.... ok ok I know. ;)

ROTFLMAO!

Kathy

CHRISTMAS

Christmas stamps..............

A woman goes to the post office to buy stamps

for her Christmas cards.

She says to the clerk, "May I have 50 Christmas stamps?"

The clerk says, "What denomination?"

The woman says, "God help us. Has it come to this? Give me 6 Catholic,

12 Presbyterian, 10 Lutheran and 22 Baptists."
