Guest guest
Six days post op upper/lower and going to see the surgeon today. He will remove the stiches from my cheeks. I " think " that I'm doing very well. Drinking (pouring, actually) from a sport top bottle and even (very carefully) from a glass. The swelling has gone down a whole lot, but still pretty stiff on either side of my nose and under my eyes. There are lovely yellow streaks on either side of my face and down my neck <bruising>. I am wearing it proudly - no cover up makeup. I can even move my lips, though there is no control. I was leaning over my 10 yr. old daughter typing on the computer last night and drooled on her! She laughed it off. She and my 12 yr. old daughter are having a blast making fun of me. I'm making fun with it myself. Might as well...I got what I asked for and the end result will be so worth it. I'm just hoping the doc doesn't issue any surprise treatments today. My emotions pour out to all of you that are wired or have other uncomfortable treatments going on. Hang in there, it can only get better, right? This support group is the best thing there could be for all of us. It's another beautiful day in metro St. Louis. Fifth in a row with low humidity and 70's. That is rare for this area. I really think it has helped me to be able to sit in the sunshine this past days. Good day to all of my orthosupportgroup buddies! Malia
